Job Description


Key Responsibilities

  • To provide medical and scientific input and information for business strategy for the portfolio
  • To provide scientific and technical expertise of the highest standards for local medical information, including interactions with external KOLs and the media.
  • To conduct medical education programs including scientific engagement activities to support local business priorities
  • To communicate and cooperate with the local marketing groups to support pre-launch, launch and post-launch programs.
  • To interact with local Key Opinion Leaders and government officials to facilitate the registration, introduction and enhanced medical marketing of paediatric vaccines, to support Regulatory Affairs with scientific, medical and technical expertise
  • Proactively contribute to vaccine-related issues management (e.g. risk management, crisis management) including serving on the appropriate LOC committees and interactions with key opinion leaders, regulatory authorities, medical organizations, the media and the public as appropriate
  • Evidence Support in study planning, protocol review, site feasibility, regulatory approvals; medical monitoring and publications as deemed appropriate, of clinical studies on vaccines phase I - IV and PMS in studies sponsored by GSK
  • Evidence generation activities such as publication, IIS, and clinical trial support as local medical lead (LML)
  • You will build a high-performing team by inspiring, engaging and aligning employees with the strategy.
  • You will attract, identify and develop diverse talent and organizational capability that is fit for now and for the future
There will be 4 direct reports and the role reports to the Head of Medical Affairs - Vaccines.

Qualifications

Minimum - MBSS

Preferred - MD

Experience
  • Pharmaceutical industry or relevant experience in vaccines organisations is desirable
  • Relevant Therapy Area experience is desirable i.e. Vaccines
  • Understanding of regulations related to promotional practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to operate as a team player
