Job Summary

The General Manager of ZYXX is responsible for leading all aspects of operations for a fast-paced, high-energy lounge and bar. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in nightlife environments, drives exceptional guest experiences, motivates high-performing teams, and delivers strong financial results while maintaining the brand's image, culture, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience

Oversee day-to-day lounge and bar operations during all hours of service Ensure an exceptional, high-energy guest experience at all times Maintain brand standards, atmosphere, music, service flow, and cleanliness Handle guest feedback, complaints, and VIP relations professionally

Team Leadership & Staffing

Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and retain staff (bartenders, servers, security, hosts, DJs, and support staff) Lead by example with strong floor presence during peak hours Enforce policies, procedures, and performance standards Foster a positive, high-performance nightlife culture

Financial Management

Manage budgets, labor costs, and operating expenses Analyze sales, bar performance, and KPIs to maximize profitability Oversee cash handling, POS accuracy, and nightly reporting Control inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with alcohol laws, health regulations, and venue licensing Coordinate with security to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff Implement crowd control and risk-management procedures

Marketing & Brand Growth

Collaborate on promotions, events, and themed nights Support social media, influencer partnerships, and brand activations Build relationships with promoters, DJs, and local nightlife partners

Qualifications

3-5+ years of management experience in nightlife, lounges, bars, or high-volume hospitality Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills Proven ability to manage high-energy teams and fast-paced environments Solid understanding of bar operations, inventory, and cost control Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills

Experience with upscale or high-volume lounge concepts Knowledge of POS systems and nightlife security operations Strong guest-relations and VIP service background
