Job Description

The General Counsel will oversee all legal aspects of the organisation, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting the business in achieving its strategic goals. This role is ideal for an expert in legal matters within the consumer tech industry and is based in Bengaluru.

• Provide strategic legal advice to the leadership team on regulatory and compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations relevant to the industry.
• Manage and resolve legal disputes and liaise with external counsel as required.
• Develop and implement policies to minimise legal risks and ensure ethical business practices.
• Oversee intellectual property matters, including copyrights and trademarks.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions from a legal perspective.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal and regulatory updates

A successful candidate must have

• LLB from a reputed institution
• At-least 15 years of experience including working with international markets such as USA
• Experience with a consumer tech platform is mandatory
