GBS FIOS R2R General Accounting Sub-process Manager

You will be working in the finance team in the Global Business Services (GBS) organization, in one of the largest centers located in Bangalore or Krakow, providing key support to the business, ensuring the accurate tracking and processing of all transactions. Reporting to the Global Finance Process Owner Record to Report you are responsible for the end-to-end General Accounting process (focus on Journal Entry, Period-end close) mandated to drive the design and implementation of standardized processes and embedded internal controls.

Your responsibilities

• Design and implement policies, processes and embedded internal controls in alignment with the Corporate Finance functions
• Define Target Operating Model for the processes and implement strategy.
• Manage the implementation projects.
• Drive change management in relation to process transformation, policy and process changes with key stakeholders from corporate, business and GBS operations.
• Provide technical accounting support to the GBS operations teams in interpreting and implementing the processes
• Monitor adherence to policies and effectiveness of processes. Engage with stakeholders and users to collect feedback and lessons learnt.
• Develop, and continuously improve processes, based on industry best practices, and incorporate lessons learnt and user feedbacks.
• Create awareness through effective communication and establish collaboration across stakeholders, targeting a high level of harmonization and standardization across ABB

Your background

• Minimum 8 years of combined experience in Finance Shared Services R2R operations/process owner/PM for global transformation in the R2R process area
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting. Accounting certificate (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an asset
• Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile etc.) or demonstrated experience in project management in large organizations is an asset
• Technical skills: knowledge of SAP/ERP environments, experience with consolidation and reconciliation tools, good command of MS suit applications
• Influencing skills: create appetite for simplifications and willingness to change
• Communication skills: present and report activities in a clear and effective way, sensitive to communication steps related to all levels of stakeholders
• Problem solving skills, systematic approach to a problem, understanding consequences in a systematic manner
