FX Options Technology is focused on delivering Technology solutions to the FX Derivatives Sales & Trading businesses. Our development teams are based in London, Singapore and Chennai. In all cases, we liaise directly with the trading and sales desks. We provide the technical expertise that enables our business to generate revenue.

Simpliciti Market Data is a globally distributed system supporting the provision of real time market data to our FX Options Risk and Pricing platforms. It forms a critical component of our technology offering, and is a fundamental driver of our business\xe2\x80\x99s revenues.

We are looking for a Java developer and technologist to take a hands-on role, contribute to the design and delivery of feature enhancements for our business, and be involved with L3 support in APAC hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver BAU enhancements to help our trading business meet their short to medium term goals
• 3rd line support in APAC hours
• Each developer is involved in the complete project lifecycle from requirements gathering, estimating development time and impact, to design and implementation.
• Closely work with key stakeholders in understanding the requirements and translating into simple and efficient design.
• Continual improvement of the software development lifecycle and quality of the product.

Key Relationships:

• Partner with other Macro Technology teams to deliver strategic projects
• Work closely with Quantitative Analysts
• Build strong relationships with Support Teams to provide timely L3 analysis
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure Teams to manage our hardware estate and drive our transition to a fully virtual environment

Qualifications:

• Commercial Java development experience.
• C# experience desirable
• Experience working with financial quantitative libraries desirable
• Experience of delivering robust, scalable distributed systems in a mission critical environment
• Passion for continuous process improvement to drive stability and productivity gains
• Experience of putting testing at the heart of development
• Knowledge of distributed systems technologies \xe2\x80\x93 Messaging, Caching, Database
• Process and tools to produce well written low defect rate code
• Evangelist for Agile practices, TDD and CI/CD pipelines
• Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker experience desirable
