Continental develops in cooperation with a big German car manufacturer an Autobahn pilot. So, vehicles that drives autonomous on the Autobahn are becoming real.

ADAS Driving Functions operates in a highly innovative environment in the field of active safety and driver assistance systems with steadily rising level of automation by including Car2Car and backend functionalities and considering Connected Car architectures.

Your task is to develop the Safety concepts for these safety-related system functions (i.e. the function chain, algorithms and software).

Core Responsibilities:

• Align development interface agreement with customer
• Coordinate impact analyses in case of design changes from system concept are needed
• Plan and coordinate project related safety activities (project safety plan)
• Assure adequate tailoring of development process and the relevant safety activities pending on development scope
• Plan and trace work products which are part of the safety case (pending on development scope)
• Coordinate impact analyses during development phase
• Initiate and plan assessments of functional safety (scheduling, timing, organization)
• Initiate escalation process in the case of unsatisfactory assessments
• Report maturity of safety case
• Support verification and validation plan
• Support release notes full System Safety Engineer
• Analyze safety in use
• Create hazard assessment and risk analysis (HARA)
• Create and trace safety requirements
• Create and decompose safety architecture
• Allocate functional to technical requirements and architectural elements
• Communicate need of escalation process to SPSM in the case of safety related project critical issues
• Support safety related analyses
• Support test specification (definition of test cases)
• Support FSM reviews. Support SPSM to report maturity of Safety Case full System Safety Analyst
• Verify hazard and risk analysis and safety concept
• Verify system design
• Analyze SW architecture
• Perform impact analyses in case of design changes from system concept are requested
• Communicate need of escalation process to safety manager in the case of safety related project critical issues
• Perform status reporting of analysis showing completeness, red risks and high RPNs
• Support safety engineer to identify safety requirements and safety related test cases
• Support FSM reviews
• Support safety manager to report maturity of Safety Case full FSM Assessor
• Perform functional safety assessments acc. to FSM guideline
• Create functional safety assessment report full

Key Qualifications:

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or similar field of study with a focus on information security
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in Cyber Security & Privacy
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in automotive product development or safety-related systems or components
• Experience in the analysis and evaluation of complex systems
• Very good German and English, spoken and written
• Moderation and team skills

Qualifications

Degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or similar field of study with a focus on information security
