The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all front office operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, smooth check-in and check-out processes, and efficient coordination with other departments. The role focuses on maximizing guest satisfaction, managing the front office team, and maintaining operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day front office operations including reception, reservations, concierge, and guest relations
Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by handling guest queries, feedback, and complaints professionally
Supervise, train, and motivate front office staff to maintain service excellence
Prepare duty rosters, manage attendance, and ensure adequate staffing at all times
Monitor check-in/check-out procedures and ensure accuracy of billing and cash handling
Coordinate with Housekeeping, F&B, Sales, and Maintenance departments for smooth operations
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, SOPs, and brand standards
Monitor room inventory, occupancy levels, and upselling opportunities
Review night audit reports, daily revenue, and occupancy reports
Ensure safety, security, and hygiene standards are followed at the front desk
Guest Relations & Service Quality
Personally welcome VIP guests and ensure personalized services
Handle escalated guest complaints and resolve issues promptly
Maintain guest history records and encourage repeat business
Financial & Administrative Duties
Control front office expenses and minimize revenue leakages
Ensure accurate posting of room charges and other services
Coordinate with Accounts for billing, deposits, and credit settlements
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate / Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management
3-6 years of experience in Front Office operations, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in PMS (Opera, IDS, eZee, or similar systems)
Good knowledge of MS Office
Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
