Job Context: Aditya Birla Insulators, India\'s largest and the world\'s fourth largest manufacturer of insulators is a unit of CFI (Chemcial, Fashion Yarn and Insulator) Sector of ABG part of Grasim Industries Limited.
ABI\'s product range is exported to 58 countries around the world with a continued focus on markets in Europe, America, Middle East, Africa and China, catering to multinational companies like Siemens, ABB, Areva, Crompton Greaves and leading power utilities.
ABI specializes in the production of high strength equipment porcelains for use in SF6
Circuit Breakers, Instrument Transformers, Condensers Bushings, and Disconnectors
& Insulators for the traction system of the Indian Railways and suspension insulators
used in transmission lines, upto 765 KV system voltages.
ABI has two manufacturing facilities, one at Halol near Baroda (Gujarat) and the other at Rishra near Kolkata (WB), accredited to ISO 9001, 14001 & SA 8000, and have been recently recommended for OHSAS 18001. The combined company capacity is 56.7 k MT annually.

Key Result Areas KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters) Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters)
KRA1 Recruitment of trainee workmen To fill up the vacancy of trainee workmen
as per the approved man power planning
a)Plan for timely recruitment of trainees
(workmen) by interacting with ITI institutes & non ITI candidates for interview. Conducting interview & subsequent selection of trainees.
b)Ensuring proper induction of trainee
workmen such as :
i) completion of all joining formalities (PF&ESI
including issuance of token no .
ii) Pre employment medical / health check up.
iii) Imparting induction training including SHE
process etc.
c)Implementing the deployment of new
trainee workmen as per plan / requirement .
KRA2 Assessment of Trainee workmen Co-ordination with Dept for monitoring the
performance of trainee workmen on monthly
basis ( On the job / After the Job )
2-Timely appraisal done after thorough
monitoring of attendance , performance &
behavior / Skill
development in consultation with D / H & S
Heads for releasing the increment / next
year\xc2\xbfs training.
3- Controlling absenteeism of trainees
workmen to achieve the yearly attendance
for increment / recommendation for next
year`s training.
KRA3 Labour management &
Plant Discipline 1- Monitoring the plant discipline from time to
time and draw up action plane for corrective
measures
2- Taking Prompt disciplinary actions such as
conducting preliminary enquiries, framing
charge sheet, conducting domestic
enquiries & issuance of warning letters for
any misconduct as per the standing orders of
the Co.
3- Absenteeism Control & timely actions for
unauthorized absence & their proper
monitoring
KRA4 Welfare Measure ,
Communication & MIS 1-Statutory Canteen management and
improvement of facilities .
2-Making timely procurement of uniform for
all workmen (permanent, badli & trainees)
Contract workmen & General Monthly.
3 -Maintenance & Up keepment of workers
colony (Quarters)
4-Organization of various events and festivals
with workers involvement e.g. Republic day
Celebration, Sports & rewarding ) ,
Independent day and Viswakarma Puja etc.
5- Ensuing transfer of salary / wages of
workmen in to bank by opening their
Bank Account.
6- Organizing Workers Communication
meeting .
7- Prepare & Submission of various IR MIS on
Monthly,Quarterly HalfYearly & Annual basis
KRA5 CSR a) Implement the CSR activities as per the
plan.
b) Prepare M I S with respect to C S R
c) Co Ordination with different NGO\xc2\xbfs / Govt
Bodies for smart implementation of
projects with full legal compliance
KRA6 Statutory Compliance 1- Engagement of the Apprentices under
Apprentices Act 1961 & Rules 1962
a) Registration of apprentices
b) Half yearly Return Filling
2- Notification of vacancies in Employment
Exchange
a) Interview call If required
b) Return Filling
3- Filling of wage Annual Wage Return
