:Job Purpose:To ensure availability, reliability, and maintainability of equipment in the Caustic Plant through effective execution of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance practices, while adhering to safety, cost, quality, and sustainability standards.Key Responsibilities:1. Maintenance Planning & ExecutionPlan, organize, and monitor daily maintenance activities to ensure schedule adherence, quality, and timely completion within Caustic Plant.Implement and review preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance systems to eliminate abnormalities and ensure equipment reliability.Analyze breakdowns, maintenance costs, and manpower utilization monthly to identify areas for improvement.Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Purchase, Stores, HR) to ensure availability of materials and manpower.Refer chronic technical issues to superiors, OEMs, or technical consultants for resolution.Optimize maintenance expenditure through budget monitoring and implementation of cost-reduction initiatives.2. Systematic Maintenance Practices (SMPs)Prepare and implement SMPs and work instructions in coordination with the team.Ensure safety standards are embedded in every maintenance activity and that SOPs are communicated and followed effectively.3. Quality, Cost, Delivery, Improvement, People (QCDIP) InitiativesAssist in identifying bottlenecks, performance gaps, and improvement areas through benchmarking and data analysis.Prepare and implement approved schemes for major maintenance and modification jobs aligned with QCDIP and WCM principles.4. Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with statutory inspections (e.g., pressure vessels, hoists).Promote a safety culture through DuPont Sustainable Solutions and regular training.Maintain emergency readiness systems and ensure adherence to applicable environmental, health, and safety standards.5. Integrated Management Systems (IMS)Execute and monitor IMS and WCM action plans for continuous improvement.Address audit observations through timely corrective actions.6. Manpower ManagementManage contractor and staff manpower planning to ensure optimal deployment and minimum overtime.Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical and safety training with HR.Promote multi-skilling and act as an in-house trainer for key systems and equipment.7. Interdepartmental CoordinationMaintain regular interaction with the Process team for steam, effluent, and utility input management.Participate in joint meetings and ensure smooth interface for plant operations.8. SAP & DocumentationEnsure timely creation of maintenance-related documents in SAP (MRN, PR, Service Entries).Maintain updated manuals, reports, and ISO documentation for audits and MIS reporting.9. Inventory & Procurement SupportMaintain optimal inventory levels and support purchase processes by providing technical specifications and evaluation of supplier offers.
