Job Title: Trainee Field Engineer - Desktop/ Laptop /Server Hardware Support Role Summary: This role is designed specifically for fresh graduate/ 3 yr diploma engineers. Selected candidates will undergo rigorous training for 6 months on all aspects of computer hardware support. Training will be a combination of classroom and \xe2\x80\x9con the job\xe2\x80\x9d training. On successful completion of training period, trainees will be absorbed as \xe2\x80\x9cField Engineer\xe2\x80\x9d in Cybix Technical Services. The role requires attending to field calls for hardware issues in Desktop Computers and Laptop Computers or Workstations/servers and taking incidents through to closure. Calls will be directed to Field Engineers by central despatch team. Once the call is received, Field Engineer is required to own the incident, diagnose the problem, arrange for spares if required and resolve the incident. Dealing with customer contact points and ensuring their satisfaction is a key requirement of the role. Responsibilities:

• End to end handling and closure of incidents
• Receive call from central despatch team with details of device and problem description
• Contact customer, schedule visit
• Diagnose problem and ascertain requirement of spares, if any
• Coordinate with Logistics team and get required spares
• Attend to the incident and resolve it to the satisfaction of the customer
• Take customer sign-off on call report after resolution of incident
• Return faulty spares to Logistics team
• Normal preventive maintenance activities are also required to be carried out on visits to customer location
• In case of installation:
• ensure all required equipment is in place at customer location
• Visit the site, complete installation and take customer sign-off

Required Skills:

• Understanding of IT Equipment including Desktop Computers, Computer Servers, Data Storage Devices, Network Routers/ Switches
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Experience: No prior work experience required Minimum academic qualifications

• 3 year Diploma in Electronics Engineering
