The Food & Beverage Server is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable service to guests. The role requires in-depth understanding of Japanese and Korean cuisine, beverages, and dining etiquette, while ensuring smooth coordination with the service and kitchen teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Hospitality
Greet and welcome guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and ensure comfort throughout their dining experience.
Present menus and explain food and beverage offerings, highlighting Japanese and Korean specialties.
Provide accurate recommendations on dishes, beverages, and pairings based on guest preferences.
Ensure timely order taking, accurate input into POS system, and smooth coordination with kitchen and bar.
Serve food and beverages with proper etiquette, ensuring presentation standards are maintained.
Anticipate guest needs and promptly respond to requests, ensuring high guest satisfaction.
Knowledge & Expertise
Maintain in-depth knowledge of Japanese and Korean cuisine, traditional ingredients, beverages (sake, soju, teas, cocktails), and dining customs.
Stay updated on menu changes, daily specials, and promotions.
Understand allergens and dietary preferences to guide guests appropriately.
Operations & Standards
Prepare tables with proper setup including cutlery, chopsticks, napkins, and condiments.
Ensure tables and service areas are clean, well-stocked, and orderly.
Handle billing, process payments accurately, and thank guests upon departure.
Follow hygiene, food safety, and grooming standards at all times.
Support team members during peak hours to maintain smooth operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in fine dining restaurants; experience with Japanese/Korean cuisine preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
POS system knowledge preferred.
Well-groomed with a pleasant and professional demeanor.
Basic knowledge of Japanese/Korean phrases (greetings, menu terms) will be an added advantage.
