What you will learn and contribute to

OSS Engineer

Are you passionate about solving problems?
As part of our team, you will:

• Administration of OSS applications preferably TeMIP and other third party NMS proactive scheduling (automation) of daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks.
• Ensure the performance and quality of the technical platform, servers, applications etc.

• Control data flow from the network to the OSS System and plan the corrections and extensions to the OSS accordingly.
• Co-operate with other Network Operation Centre personnel in trouble and emergency situations.
• Configuration and administration of third party software/applications in OSS Node/ servers
• Manage and administration of OSS Virtual Machines

• Coordination with Radio,Core and other engineers for integration of respective products/nodes with OSS

• Administration of OSS backup solutions and action for closure.

• Troubleshooting and fault rectification in the OSS system within SLA time frame.

• L3 Coordination and implementation of Hotfix if any received as part of WA

Your skills and experience

You have:

• Science or Engineering Graduation
• 2 to 4 years Hands on working experience in OSS(Multi vendor) perferably TeMIP application O&M along with experience in Telecom & strong in telecom concepts.
• System Administration knowledge of Linux/VMware environment.
• Good Knowledge on OSS application and its flow towards NE,NBI & SBI.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Experience in Unix, Shell scripting, SQL hands on experience
• VMWare & SQL basic Script knowledge
• Expertise in administering NMSTools/servers
• BO tool reporting skill set

Competency:

• Good communication skill for communicating with required stakeholders and customer
• Knowledge on Network operations & ITSM/ticket system process flow
• Knowledge of Monitoring tools such as Splunk and Netcool
• Proven ability to work with others to meet common objectives and team leader expectations.
• Able to work in a changing environment and able to adapt with these changes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong facilitation skills and ability to gain consensus.
• Takes initiative to creatively resolve issues and find solutions.
• Comfortable communicating to all levels within the organization.
• Results/outcome oriented
