Job Purpose
To carry out extensive design analysis of jacquard designs. To develop name selvedge design as per customer requirements. To coordinate in carrying out first piece fabrics design analysis post grey inspection stage and also analyze finished fabric against customer design requirements
Job Context & Major Challenges
The main work of the weaving designing team is to provide design related details like construction, weave, count, yarn count , shade etc. to PPC for production planning in addition to guiding the weaving department in looming accurate weaving patterns in fabric by providing design specifications and instructions regarding warp and weft.
The team also analyzes the first loom piece against the customer design requirements like shade, count, construction etc.
Challenges
1. Minimizing new shade dyeing and maximizing utilization of dyed yarn stock

KRA1 To carry out extensive design analysis of jacquard designs Carry out thread and weave analysis to gain information regarding specific weave, construction, shade etc. in case of swatch samples

• Analyze CAD designs using software
• Assessing whether design production would be feasible through existing production facilities
• Allocating design and article number based on identified design features

KRA2 To develop name selvedge design as per customer requirements Designing name selvedge of jacquard design fabrics using SS-CAD software
KRA3 To coordinate in carrying out first piece fabrics design analysis post grey inspection stage Matching the design characteristics of first piece fabric against customer requirements

• Consulting with lab (Y&D) team in case of serious shade mismatch

KRA4 To coordinate in analyzing finished fabric against customer design requirements Analyzing finished fabric for any major design deviations and communicate to concerned departments
