Job Context & Major Challenges
EMIL Mines and Mineral Resources Limited (EMMRL), wholly owned subsidiary of Essel Mining & Industries Limited (EMIL) had been declared as Successful Bidder for Bandha Coal Block in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh (~37 km from Singrauli City) in the Commercial Coal Auction. It is a greenfield project with Peak Rated Capacity (PRC) of 5 Million tonnes per annum. EMMRL is currently in the process of getting statutory clearances. Some of the major challenges in operationalization of the coal block including getting statutory clearances, liaise with statutory authorities to expedite commencement and smooth running of operation, undertake land acquisition and possession, shifting of Project PDFs, implementation of Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) policy, execute mining lease, commence and achieve peak coal production at competitive cost, maintain coal quality, ensure safe operation, implement state-of-art technology in operation, maintenance and logistics infrastructure, drive digital initiatives, and marketing of coal. In addition, compliance with statutory norms, renewal/ amendment of statutory clearances, undertake progressive mine closure, facilitate smooth operation and comply with the requirements as per terms of Allotment Agreement.

KRA1 Responsible for all electrical systems of Plant, to ensure maximum equipment availability for achieving target production, meeting maintenance cost & work quality Planning & directing execution of electrical jobs and maintenance
Monitoring & controlling maintenance cost.
Reviewing the electrical jobs on daily basis.
Initiate & implement steps for improving work quality
Implement well planned electrical maintenance system and ensure downtime at minimum level
Take corrective actions wherever necessary for ensuring maximum equipment availability
KRA2 Responsible to ensure continuous improvements in electrical. Keep abreast with technological advancements
Identifies areas for improvements
Recommends modification / up gradation plans with cost implications and the savings
Implements modification / up gradation plans once its approved.
KRA3 Responsible for formulating & implementing safe work practices and ensuring occupational health & safety in electrical department Coordinate with HR / Safety head
Ensure all people in Electrical are aware of safety requirements
Carry out modification / up gradation for ensuring safety at work place
Train people to adopt safe work practices
Ensure compliance with the safe work practices
KRA4 Responsible for Business Excellence by implementing quality systems, WCM,SAP package, training activities, MIS & documentation Facilitate implementation of systems and practices through Integrated Management System
Implement Quality Systems / WCM, SAP Package
Training of subordinates and development of successors
Direct and ensure MIS & documentation
KRA5 Responsible for Statutory Compliance & Liaison Ensure compliance of statutory requirements and ensure availability of valid statutory approvals / consents
