As a Sec Ops Settlements team Vice President, you will lead and set the vision for teams providing middle office support to the Fixed Income EMEA based trading desks. The role would require the team to ensure all trades economics are captured and allocated in a timely manner and all queries from trading desk / sales / counterparties and from other internal teams are responded timely and accurately. You are expected to identify process improvement and efficiency opportunities and work with internal teams and / or external service providers to optimize the functions. As a gatekeeper, you should be able to identify process gaps and build suitable controls to manage functional risks effectively. Your role will require the ability to resolve complex business challenges, manage competing priorities and interact with senior stakeholders showcasing the ability to influence and drive outcomes while always prioritizing our clients\xe2\x80\x99 experience. Act as a subject matter expert on Fixed Income Settlements, providing insight and understanding of complex inquiries from internal and external contacts
Provide the highest level of service to our external client and internal stakeholders
Serve as a primary point of contact for escalations, respond timely to internal / external stakeholders
Manage Risk
Maintain documented procedures and ensure adherence to and compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements
Understand and comply with regulations, policies and procedures related to these process & functions
Partner with global teams to perform root cause reviews, remediate issues, and update processes and procedures as necessary
Maintain a strong control environment through adherence to procedures, control policies and service level agreements that would satisfy risk and audit requirements
Manage People
Provide leadership - setting clear goals, strategies, and goals aligned with the overall business strategy
Staff Management and Planning: Responsible for staff performance development planning, resource planning and allocation and building an inclusive and collaborative culture
Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback via informal discussions, quarterly/semi-annual performance meetings and the annual review process. Ensure effective succession plan
Provide oversight, training, guidance to the team and ensure effective cross training
Manage team performance, leading by example on key behaviors to motivate sustained results; this includes using performance management resources to proactively monitor, coach and develop employees, recognizing strong performers and managing those not meeting performance standards
Manage change
Collaborate to identify opportunities for process improvements, streamline processes
Encourage Innovation: Create a culture of accountability and innovation. Will support and steer the team/s to continually encourage improvements in process flows to ensure scalability and minimize manual touchpoints
Present analysis findings, progress updates, and strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team and relevant stakeholders
Independently identify process improvement and efficiency opportunities and see them to completion
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: Skills
Strong experience and understanding in Fixed Income/Equities Settlements or Middle Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive communication skills. Language skills are beneficial.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders
