Position Summary

As a Staff of Forensic Technologies, you will support the investigation teams in executing projects related to investigations involving review of ESI from various IT systems including server/endpoints. You will be assigned to projects managed by functional managers to assist them in delivering projects by assisting them with preservation, processing, and analysis of critical ESI/ logs from various IT systems. As a digital forensic expert, you are responsible for collecting and analyzing all potential digital evidence's related to a potential cyber incident/ investigation involving computers, networks, and other associated IT equipment. IT equipment includes but not limited to laptops, mobile phones, tablets and other data storage and processing devices. The evidence that is gathered would usually preserve as per best forensic practices so that it would be passed onto regulators and law enforcement bodies which enable them to pursue criminal charges against any identified criminal of the impacted organization or individual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Form, articulate, and implement eDiscovery workflow advice based on case requirements, client priorities, and timeframe needs
  • Implement effective quality control measures
  • Coordinating with client contacts to provide project deliverables, progress, timelines and advise on strategy, workflow, and best practices.
  • Designing and implementing intelligent workflow solutions to quickly identify the key facts, details, and merits of the case, and effectively reduce data volumes.
  • Analysing and interpreting client requirements and applying them to complex unstructured datasets.
  • Providing project support to team leads and clients:
  • Responding to client requests and setting clear expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducting quality control checks to ensure accuracy of tasks/deliverables related to searches, review workflow, productions, processing and exports. Work with team leads/ Managers to learn and take ownership of project .
  • Performing the day-to-day client engagement activities, including interaction with client personnel, internal team members, and other stakeholders involved in the engagement.
  • Contributing to the overall success of the firm by participating in pitches, developing internal training, and marketing the firm externally to prospective clients.
  • Produce high quality oral and written communications presenting complex technical matters clearly and concisely.
  • Sustain a high level of professionalism in all areas of performance
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders to enable open dialogue, win trust and become a trusted business partner

  • Create directory structure and listings for analysis
  • Create and update tracking spreadsheets and access databases Proficiency with the following tools/technologies
  • Sound technical understanding of Windows, Macintosh, and Linux operating systems, file systems and networks
  • Digital forensics - EnCase, FTK, SIFT, Magnet Axiom, Cellebrite UFED, Oxygen forensic etc.
  • Knowledge on Network forensics concepts
  • Cloud Security- knowledge of AWS, Google, VMWare, Azure clouds
  • eDiscovery- Should have knowledge of eDiscovery process of Office-365 and Google Mails.
  • Memory, Network and Application forensics knowledge
  • Strong SQL querying skills (Joins, SP's, functions, etc.)
  • Technical know-how on C, C++, C#, VB, OOPS concepts, Python, Shell scripting, Java, JavaScript, PHP languages.
  • Understanding of mobile technology and OS (i.e., Android, iOS, Windows), VMware technology, and Unix and basic Unix commands.
  • Sound technical understanding of computer system hardware, storage devices, including hard drives, personal storage devices, tape systems and other archiving systems
  • Communicate new ideas or suggestions for analysis/process improvement
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess good technical understanding, takes initiative to remain up to date with cyber-Forensics skills
  • Possess the ability to adjust and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work with minimum guidance

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, Information Technology/ System's or Information Security related fields
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in consulting/ advisory work, specifically in areas of eDiscovery, digital forensics or law enforcement
  • Experience with the following products/ tools: Encase, FTK, Cellebrite, Oxygen Forensics, Nuix, Relativity, iPro eCapture, Brainspace/Reveal, 0365 Compliance center
  • Knowledge and experience in the following areas required: Experience delivering computer forensics, eDiscovery, information security, malware detection and analysis services to clients
  • Having any of these certifications is highly preferable: * Encase Certified Examiner
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) or any other Relativity certifications
  • Certified Brainspace Specialist/ Administrator
  • Certified eDiscovery specialist (CEDS)
  • Any industry standard eDiscovery certification
  • Having knowledge on analysis tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx is an added advantage.
Preferred certification on followings:
Encase Certified Examiner, Certified eDiscovery specialist (ACDS), Relativity Certified Administrator, Relativity One Pro / User Certified, Reveal certified Specialist, Cellebrite certified mobile examiner, Access Data Certified Examiner, OS Forensic certified examiner
