Job Title: First Line Manager - Home Care
Location: Jeddah Factory, KSA

Job Scope:

First line Manager focus on manufacturing performance. He/she will make sure that the production target attainment will be achieved. Responsible for driving current and future manufacturing performance in the areas of Safety, Productivity, Cost, Quality, Delivery and Morale with a Continuous Improvement framework. This includes managing the shift crew and manufacturing activities as well as working individually and on teams to identify areas of opportunity to cause beneficial change.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Utilize appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products and equipment to ensure a safe working environment for the whole team. Full knowledge of hazards in the workplace
  • Quality - Apply core knowledge of Quality skills; Quality Measurement, Prioritization, Improvement, assessment and Certification etc to sustain Quality standards in the factory operation
  • Receive from Supply planning the production plan and organize with them the production schedule
  • Based on the production schedule, organize the manpower accordingly with the standard to achieve the targeted cost
  • Make sure that the production lines keep the expected OLE
  • You will assist in the identification of critical control points on the equipment and that they are able to be inspected according to QM procedures, whilst ensuring that these requirements are included in the maintenance schedules.
  • Make sure that the production attainment will be achieved also meeting the expected production cost by reducing costs due to waste and minimize impact to health, safety and the environment through working to eliminate waste and through the correct management of waste and hazardous materials.
  • Coach, develop and motivate others by identifying regular maintenance tasks that can generally be done by others
  • Make sure that the equipment will be maintained in basic condition by implementing the standard of Autonomous Maintenance
  • Make sure that the startup operations, change over and cleaning accordingly with GMP to be executed following the appropriate company standard
  • Cooperate with maintenance team, to organize the schedule for the planned maintenance
  • Participate in conducting trial and industrial tests of new types of packaging materials, raw materials and finished products
  • Make proposals on the organization of workplaces to reduce labor costs and improve sanitation and hygiene
  • Participate in projects to upgrade existing equipment, as well as purchase new ones
  • Organize the training of production operators and the certification of their skill level, develop and support production team to create and update WCM activity boards
  • Make sure that put in place the defined actions to eliminate all detected process deviations
  • Advise and support, in cooperation with UMS coordinator, production staff on the application of UMS techniques
  • Participate in conducting internal meetings aimed at developing measures to prevent and eliminate non-conformities, and reduce losses


Role requirements:

  • Degree in either an Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) discipline or a strong technical background with 2+ years of experience
managing teams
  • Practical experience of applying preventative maintenance and autonomous maintenance strategies within a manufacturing or general
engineering
  • Candidates must be able to analyze factory and technical processes in order to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
Strong coaching skills are a pre-requisite; enquiring, supportive, challenging
  • Experience of operating with semi-autonomous or autonomous teams
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s in engineering or related discipline a plus
  • Relevant production experience will be preferred
