Type of Job RTB Shift Timings UK /US Reports to: VP Location Mumbai Background : Origination & Advisory business helps the clients in raising funds through issuance of debt and equity, along with providing advisory services on mergers and acquisition. Debt Capital Market (DCM) desk manages syndication and underwriting function of Investment Grade Debt, whereas Leveraged Debt Capital Market (LDCM) desk services Leveraged Loans & High Yield bonds Job Summary: Within Business Finance, we have Revenue Control & Financial Control functions. For each product / business line the Revenue control & Financial control responsibilities are segregated & well defined. As a Business Finance personnel, the core responsibilities is to ensure accurate reporting of periodic P&L, Risk and BS on the basis of sound business/ product understanding along with strong accounting & system knowhow. Responsible for the management of Origination & Advisory Finance Product team. Manage a team of 15 FTE, and support key stakeholders within Finance (Global Head of respective Products, Regional Finance Directors, Finance Mumbai head). In addition, build and optimize MI portfolio and provide key analysis/KPI to support the business. Primary Responsibilities
  • Review of daily P&L and Risk for different regions/ products
  • Management and ownership of the Product Financials & MI Portfolio the team delivers.
  • Perform & review month-end close activities – SAP journals and reconciliations
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet, with substantiation and potential financial exposure along with Sox sign off for key controls.
  • Regular communication with clients and other departments on daily P&L issues and development of process enhancements
  • Effectively manage onshore adhoc/requests as well as organizational initiatives.
  • sign-off critical Business MIS with sound analysis on the trend and supporting commentary for significant moves in business.
  • Partner with key stakeholders onshore and create and drive key strategic initiatives
  • Play a key role in developing junior staff at the Analyst and Associate level.
  • Lead and support standardization and efficiency initiatives across Finance team.
  • Gain a thorough knowledge of Origination & Advisory Business and product.
  • Being client orientated and helping to add tangible value.

Qualification & Experience required Qualification

  • CA, CFA or MBA in Finance with minimum 10-12 years experience.
  • Financial Markets experience; Investment Banking experience preferred

Experience

  • Experience in working with Senior Stakeholders within a large organization.
  • People Management experience.
  • Strong Quantitative and Analytical skills.
  • Advanced to Expert user of MS Office (esp Excel and Powerpoint).
  • Very strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
