Minimum qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in related technical field or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of consulting experience or value engineering in driving cloud strategy and business transformation. Experience in Cloud Consulting with a focus on enterprise technology strategy, financial operations, and cloud economics. Preferred qualifications: MBA or Master\'s degree in Computer Science or related field. Certified in one or more cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Digital leader and FinOps Certified Practitioner). Experience in developing cloud business cases and TCO analysis aligning technology costs to business value metrics. Knowledge of cloud cost management pricing tactics (e.g., Committed Use Discounts, Spot Instances, etc.). Understanding of Google Cloud technologies and Cloud FinOps practices and frameworks, business finance, unit costing, financial forecasting, and chargeback models. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data and provide insights. As a Financial Operations Consultant, you will work directly with Google\'s business customers and provide business consulting, transformation, and cloud financial operations expertise, while engaging with customers to accelerate their transition to Google Cloud. This role is part of the Google Cloud Consulting team (GSD) and you will specialize in scoping, shaping, and delivering large scale, Cloud Financial Operations (Cloud FinOps) transformations. Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful implementations of cloud FinOps solutions and become a trusted advisor to customers and solve business and technology challenges in support of better cloud financials management. Support our customers in defining their cloud financials management strategy, aligning it with the business goals by helping them better understand their cloud costs and advise them on approaches to improve all aspects of their cost management approach and related cloud governance processes. Responsibilities Develop cloud usage visibility, providing summaries and detailed cloud billing and usage statistics for resources on Google Cloud Platform and support financial and billing teams on cloud budgets, financial forecasts, showbacks, and chargebacks models. Create cloud unit metrics and develop KPIs to support and validate FinOps recommendations, assist with following up with the necessary stakeholders (e.g., designing and introducing responsibility matrices) and maintain documentation on adopted Cloud FinOps and cost optimization processes, share best practices, and lessons learned. Assist leadership with development of the Cloud FinOps practice, create new capabilities, accelerators, and thought leadership as a subject matter specialist for FinOps. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of Go-To-Market offerings for Cloud FinOps and provide feedback from the field for product features roadmap.
