ABC Express Financial Controller
ABC is a 30+ year old part truck load and trucking company that is on its transformation path. We aspire to be modern without forgetting our grounded and frugal traditional roots. We own 150+ trucks and run PTL ops between NCR and West India. We are searching for Finance Head who will help us manage the back end while we focus on growth. Location: Jhandewallan, Central Delhi CTC: Industry Leading Responsibilities We are looking more for a business minded than a tax minded leader. Our goal is to set controlling systems right, monitor them and report on the business so we can have the right information and controls for decision making and growth. Compliance Management: Timely accurate filling of direct and indirect tax, suggestions and implementations of business processes and best practices to meet compliances seamlessly and autonomously. Revenue Control: Identify and block all revenue leakage points by setting systems. Including: Auditing GRs, setting customer contracts. Monitor debtors closely and present cash flow projections routinely. Identify and report on reason for delays in recoverable and take actions accordingly. Accounts Payable: Audit Vendor Contracts. Manage payroll in coordination with HR. Budget and report on routine basis on all fixed and recurring expenses. Report on unit cost of all variable expenses and run variance analysis, identify, and eradicate any leakage points in the business and perform routine closures and audits. Record Keeping & Financial Control: Manage day-to-day financial operations. Make practical systems, SOPs and automations to ensure systematic and accurate (e-)filing of all docs relating to AR, AP and compliances for quick and easy access. Workflow & Strategy: Develop bulletproof and practical systems that lead to operational smoothness and minimize errors in all domains of the business. Oversee all audit and internal control. Strategize to cut costs and eventually improve the P&L position of the organization. Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare forecasts and budgets. Use your business knowledge to come up with dashboards. Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance monthly, annually (YoY MoM etc). Leadership: Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel, develop the team structure and hire, fire and manage their leaves and responsibilities. Technical Skills and Experience While we would appreciate CA/MBA; degree doesn\xe2\x80\x99t matter to us. You must be experienced and skilled enough to teach the team rather than learn from them. Automation in Key: Figure out how to automate processes, work with tech teams and SAAS products to solve problems. Build automatic dashboards, set KPIs. Tally ERP and Excel: You must be super skilled in excel, by that we mean don\xe2\x80\x99t touch the mouse, working knowledge of tally is a plus. ERP Implementation: Experience with logistics ERPs is a plus, one should know how to define workflows and set masters. In logistics the right data at the right time at the right place is KEY. Taxation and Laws: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, laws and best practices. Strong reporting: Must be able design reports in excel/power BI as per business requirements. You should understand the business and make reports and budgets accordingly. Logistics/Trucking Experience: Work experience in this field is a definite plus as you will hit the ground running.
