Financial Controller / Senior Finance Manager

As Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various day-to-day operational activities across the finance function, from financial reporting operations, improving financial processes and systems, month-end KPI analysis and budgeting/forecasting. Operating in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to build and reshape the function with an incredible career path set out. Our company has a parent entity in the US and a subsidiary company in India. So, ideally, you would have relevant experience managing finance, accounting, and compliance across both countries. We work with accounting firms in the US and India currently; eventually, we would expect you to own up to all of India\'s financials and work closely with the US firm for regular accounting compliances and bookkeeping.Qualifications

• CA/MBA graduate with 6-8 years of experience
• Prior experience working at SaaS startups
• Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly regarding presenting the results of analysis to leadership
• Have an understanding of US financial reporting and compliance formalities

Roles and responsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Analysis

• Help build and manage the monthly financials for the US and Indian firms
• Manage and monitor the monthly, quarterly and annual MIS metrics, board reports, and dashboard
• Help in setting Company targets, monitoring and ensuring timely corrective actions

Compliances

• All ROC, RBI and financial filings- as and when notified are duly completed.
• Work closely with our consultants (financial and company secretarial) in India and the US to ensure on-time completion of all compliance requirements.
• Compliance related to specific events- like fundraising and secondaries, are taken care of

Funds Management & Budgeting

• Manage all things AP across both the entities, including payroll
• Revenue management and Accounts Receivable - ensuring all invoices are raised and revenue booked on time
• Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs; ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital requirements
• Collections management and maintaining relations with the debtors (customers)
• Liaison with departments on monthly budget & consumption; prepare variance analysis
• Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances

Day to Day Operations

• Manage & oversee daily operations of the Finance department
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures and manage all outsourced functions
• Monitoring & Analyzing accounting data & prepare financial statements and MIS timely
• Review ledgers & co-ordinate with the team for book closure activities (monthly & annual)
• GST and TDS compliances are taken care of, including all reconciliations

Audit & Due Diligence

• Own up, manage and close audits - Statutory and internal
• Own and complete due diligence- as and when required by investors/ potential investors
