Job Title: Treasury Finance

Location: Mumbai

Role Description

Financial control\xe2\x80\x99s core responsibility is to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the general ledger for the products within their remit and provide full balance sheet substantiation for the accounts where they are the primary or secondary owners.

The successful candidate will join a growing treasury finance team in Mumbai and will obtain exposure to a range of products (e.g. money markets products, interest rate swaps, and FX derivatives). Your Key Responsibilities / Tasks

The successful candidate\xe2\x80\x99s responsibilities will include:

• Review of all daily and monthly controls in accordance with DB guidelines, which includes analytical review of the balance sheet and profit and loss statement for treasury pool desk.
• Liaising with other areas internal/external of finance to ensure consistent adherence to control and governance policies.
• Review of regulatory accounting disclosures and ensuring timely submissions.
• Supervision over monthly balance sheet controls, whilst retaining accountability for key procedural balance sheet substantiation controls.
• To ensure that applicable accounting standards are adhered to regarding P&L and Balance Sheet reporting.
• To understand the business, processes and ability to challenge/improve the status quo.
• Management reporting of key risk indicators metrics.
• Analysis and testing to support strategic project initiatives.

Your Skills & Experience / Exposure

• Strong management skills, able to work in virtual global teams and in a matrix organization.
• Understanding of the role of trading desk and product/financial control functions within a financial institution.
• Understanding the importance of applicable controls and integrity of the general ledger.
• Understanding of money market and derivative products and its accounting treatment.
• Previous exposure to decision-making and stakeholder management.
• Open minded with problem solving, analytical skills and should be able to articulate things.
• Individual shall be a ley team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language)

Education / Certification/ Skills

• Accounting/finance degree (preferably CA, MBA or equivalent degree)
• Experience in financial control, product control or related banking functions will be a plus
