Job Title Finance Operations Manager Job title Finance Operations Manager Job description Based in: Bangalore Office/Home: Hybrid (2-3 days minimum a week in office) Overview Our Global Finance Operations Team is responsible for all finance operations activities globally which include Cash Control, Asset Control, Financial Control, Accounts Payable, Revenue Control, Regulatory Reporting Operations and Hedging Control. The Finance Operations team is currently based in Krakow (all teams) and Singapore (Cash Control) and the Finance Operations team in India will be an extension of Global Finance Operations function. The Finance Operations Team in India will start as a smaller team compared the Krakow and will consist of a Cash Control, Accounts Payable and Financial Control. As the Group, Finance, and therefore Finance Operations grow, the team in India will grow and there would be scope to establish and extend more of the finance operational team already in Krakow. This role will be critical in establishing this new team in India, lead the training of this team, manage and lead the day-to-day responsibilities of this team and build strong relationships with the global finance function and wider business. Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the teams this role will be responsible for will include: Cash Control . Ensure daily reconciliation and break resolution of Client\'s funds (automated with AutoRek) and its review, including the administration of unallocated client receipts . Respond to any query from internal or external sources in relation to the activity . Calculate daily client money segregation in accordance to the respective regulatory requirements and process the transfer in a timely manner . Liaise with the Treasury and local Financial Control teams to ensure compliance with client money regulations, internal client money buffers and policies, as well as firm\'s liquidity . Identify and recommend improvements in reconciliation process and other processing areas for greater operational efficiency and risk mitigation . Prepare ad hoc corporate payments as requested by the business . Performing bank administrative duties such as mandate updates and user setup . Maintaining procedures manuals and other documentation . Assist in internal and external audits as required Accounts Payable: . Accurate coding of direct invoices and credit notes . Matching purchase orders to incoming invoices . Posting correction journals and intercompany journals . Manage administration of staff credit cards and distribution . Answer and deal with incoming telephone calls/ emails from suppliers . Carry out weekly supplier payment runs for the UK, PL, UAE, US & Foreign offices (multi currencies), paying by Chaps and BACS , produce urgent payments Creating new supplier accounts as in accordance with our company policy . Review and reconcile supplier statements . Chase departmental managers for outstanding / overdue invoices . Assist with month-end procedures such as the aged debtor report . Drive improvements projects and support process instructions Financial Control: . Preparation of management and financial accounts, review, and oversight of the monthly results for IG Group entities . Perform standard bookings and review . Maintaining a strong financial control environment including preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations and controls . Intercompany reconciliation and bookings . Management and coordination of indirect and operational tax related activities if required . Continuous improvement of processes and participation in improvement projects Your job will include among others: . Ensure the processes operated from Bangalore are aligned with the global processes and standardised as far as possible . Continuously improvement the processes of this team and participate and manage process improvements affecting the global team . Building strong relationships within Finance and especially those you will have regular interaction with . Actively manage all critical stakeholders of the team, with clear communication between the team and key stakeholders . Design operation performance efficiency KPI\'s for the team against agreed SLA\'s. Minimum qualification - Chartered Accountant (CA) with Graduation in Commerce . Educational background - finance and accounting . Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Finance, Finance Operations or Middle Office functions . Ability to work unsupervised, showing initiative in identifying problems and posing solutions . Ability to manage people of various grades (Junior Managers/Team Leaders, Analysts) . Strong relationship building skills . A good understanding and excellent experience working in and improving control environments, strengthening control and improving control processes . Good understanding of financial processes for the areas of responsibility . Experience in international environment / corporations will be an asset . Good English communication skills, both written and verbal . Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment meeting regular deadlines taking ownership of assigned responsibilities .
