Job Description

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the hotel's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory regulations while optimizing financial performance and supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Reporting

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Monitor revenues, expenses, and profitability to ensure achievement of budgeted targets. Implement internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Develop annual operating and capital budgets in coordination with department heads. Prepare financial forecasts and variance analysis to support decision-making.

Accounts & Compliance

Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. Ensure timely submission of statutory returns (GST, TDS, PF, ESIC) and compliance with applicable laws. Liaise with auditors, banks, and government authorities for audits and statutory requirements.

Cost Control & Revenue Optimization

Analyze cost structures and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising service quality. Monitor purchasing and inventory systems to maintain cost efficiency.

Team Leadership & Training

Supervise and guide finance team members to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Train department managers on financial policies and cost-control practices.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of

hospitality financial systems

(e.g., IDS, Opera, SAP, or similar PMS/ERP). Proficiency in

MS Excel, accounting software, and financial analysis tools

. Excellent understanding of

Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI)

. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce (CA/ICWA preferred).

Experience:

Minimum

5-8 years

of experience in finance/accounting, with at least

3 years in a managerial role in the hospitality industry
