Job Description
Executes day to day processing of accounting transactions within defined
standard operating procedures with a purpose of achieving service
delivery goals for the organisation and providing first level support
for both technical and functional issues raised by end users. Is a
Subject Matter Expert in accounting or business transactions in a
specific area of operations.
Transactional Finance and Compliance
- Own the transactional invoice process starting with receiving the invoice, matching it with the PO, obtain goods / services received confirmation (3-way match) and sending the invoice to Accounts Payable for processing
- Investigate and solve the discrepancies about the invoices; be the contact point for the Project Category Managers, vendors and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with the Requisition to Pay process and the Control process of APMT
- Contribute to process improvements within the area of responsibility
Project Controls and Finance Support:
- Collect the procurement needs of the project categories
- File the contracts and the purchase orders in sharepoint and add the information to the contracts register
Business Partnering Reports and Deliverables:
- Create the reports and slides within the area of responsibility for weekly and monthly meetings
- Contribute to the Project’s monthly report’s relevant areas
Provides support to other team members, ensures training of staff and is
a goto person for functional issues.
Acts as a super user ensuring a degree of governance and compliance.
