About the Role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Finance Manager

This role requires a developed understanding of Enterprise Finance identifies areas of financial risk and mitigates efforts appropriately. Responsible for internal financial management reporting and analysis to support the enterprise, business units, and functional areas and provide meaningful insights into the underlying drivers impacting results. As a key member of the AU & Hierarchy change management teams, the ideal candidate will support the development and implementation of the Hierarchy change management, Governance & Control framework for the AU Management function working in partnership with other Finance, Controller, and other cross-functional teams as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

AU Management (Team of 6 members)

This role requires supervisory support to manage these activities:

Review completeness of AU maintenance requests daily.
Complete quality control reviews on AU request to ensure standard processing. Escalate all issues for further review.
Perform initial intake assessment for centralization of manual journal entries.
Evaluate and track exceptions to standardize processes.
Identify and escalate potential gaps derived from quality reviews that may result in risk to Wells Fargo. Escalate risk to management.
Document end-to-end process procedures including dependencies, controls, inputs/outputs, gap identification.
Lead implementation of complex projects impacting one or more lines of business
Collaborate with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives to ensure compliance and manage risk
Hierarchy Management (team of 2 members)
This role requires active involvement in driving the organizational change requests.
Processing of hierarchy change requests.
Backup for existing team member to process the requests.
Backup to process the requests during leave of absence of current team members.
Transition of new work in pipeline.
Supervisory requirement for both teams:
Lead team to achieve objectives
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Finance
Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Maintain effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standards and internal control standards
Work with Lines of Businesses & Support functions to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance
Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across cross functional groups with competing priorities

Essential Qualifications

Bachelors/ Postgraduate in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Ability to assess compliance with policies and procedures
Experience resolving and working through issues
Solid critical thinking skills
Knowledge of Project management or Agile JIRA tool.
Strong analytical skills with high diligence and accuracy

Desired Qualifications

10-15 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, including monthly close, management reporting, Journal entries and General Ledger, Hierarchy/AU change management.
Industry experience strongly preferred. Advanced Essbase knowledge preferred.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
5 years of Team management experience
Education: Any Graduate
Industry: Financial Services/Stockbroking, Banking
