Department Overview

Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) provides financial services to 21 million retail bank households and three million small business customers through approximately 4,900 retail branches, 17 customer service centers, and approximately 13,000 ATMs in 36 states and the District of Columbia. We serve and help individuals and families in many aspects of their lives, helping them buy homes, open first bank and savings accounts, buy cars to get to and from work or school, and start or grow small businesses. As part of CSBB Finance this group focus on providing finance advice and support to the various sub-LOBs within the CSBB organization.

About the Role

The Finance Associate role will be responsible for facilitating the FP&A and Data Analytics requirements for the ASVS (ATM Strategy & Vendor Solutions) team within the CSBB Operations Finance organization. The key priorities for this role will be to provide strategic solutions to the various divisions with the ASVS Organization through the development and implementation of robust financial reporting and assist in generating data driven analytics. The candidate should be capable of implementing transformational projects for making the finance processes efficient and adding value to stakeholders. The incumbent should have strong communication, a good functional understanding and have the ability to work across various partners in achieving the set goals.

Responsibilities

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus and ability to lead from the front. Serve as a valuable resource to the other members of the team while promoting knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
  • Reputation for being a highly responsive individual who thrives on achieving results in a large, complex, diverse organization, who respects the culture, is flexible and adaptable.
  • Candidate should be good with financial modelling, understand various process and execute enhancements to make the processes robust and efficient.
  • Performing variance and trend analyses; Candidate should be a subject matter expert on FP&A involving from month close to budgeting/forecasting & reporting activities, ability to break the information into meaningful data points.
  • Candidate should have good stakeholder engagement skills and should have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Candidate should have good financial acumen and come out with good strategic/ go forward data /analytic support and support the business teams across various expenses and their drivers (Unit costing).
  • Capable of conducting in-depth research of large data (financial & non-financial) using various tools and providing insightful solutions to stakeholders.
  • Interact / coordinate with different teams to proactively raise any specific issues or challenges around the business and work independently with the concerned teams to resolve issues.
  • Candidate should be capable of planning and executing projects through timely tracking and delivering them to stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications
  • MBA (or) Cost & Management Accountant (or) Chartered Financial Analyst with 8-10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Candidate should have strong FP&A expertise and has experience in working with senior leaders providing strategic solutions.
  • Candidate must have hands on experience in LOB / segment / product reporting / management reporting / dashboard / presentations / Analytics / commentary.
  • Candidate should have good hands on experience working on transformational projects focusing on process improvements / Lean / six sigma
  • Candidate should have good exposure to handling work flow applications, be good with BO and or BI Tools and or similar applications. Good expertise in Data Lineage, data flow / architecture and data quality.
  • Candidate should have good financial modelling, template building, dashboard and presentation skills as this will really help in transforming the reports to the next level.
  • Candidate should have hands on experience on Essbase, Hyperion, Business Objects and should be a subject matter expert in data retrievals from different cubes. ( Must to have)
  • Ability to work both independently and within team environment.
  • Ability to perform complex analyses, build financial models, draw conclusions, and communicate recommendations to business leaders.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Macros, Business Intelligence tools and Power point.
Desired Qualifications
  • Good understanding of accounting and preferably knowledge around IFRS and US GAAP is an additional advantage.
  • Industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience of working across one or more geographic territories or regions.
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI or other reporting tool.
