Job Summary:
The Finance Analyst promotes a strong customer service orientation, while ensuring appropriate internal controls against fraud, abuse, waste or misuse of funds. The role ensures compliance with the organization's policies and procedures, as well as driving new policies and procedures. This role will be accountable to take an end-to-end process approach, collaborating with upstream functions at various levels to solve complex problems, as well as use external information and best practices to drive results. They will create the long- and short-term plan for the Account payable function, creating and implementing scalable processes, and driving system automation.
Responsibilities:
Manager all areas of A/P day to day process, as well as driving process change across the department and across the end to end process, through working and influencing cross functionally.
Work with AP Manager for process improvements and system automation.
Reviews records of amounts owed and ensures oversight of prompt payment of invoices featuring discounts advantageous to the organization.
Reviews and approves accounts payable ledger and other related accounting reports.
Establishes and ensures work standards are implemented by the team.
Resolves escalated payment issues.
Help develop performance standard measurements, monthly tracking of key metrics, organizing a team for success, integrating collaborative and customer service-oriented behaviours, and controlling efficient and effective A/P practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
A minimum of 5+ years related experience in Accounts Payable and T&E
Must have large ERP AP system experience, as well as 1099 filing experience
Exposure to multinational operations and consolidation - preferred
Expert Excel user and strong aptitude developing presentations in PowerPoint
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Experience in defining and mapping processes and procedures through Continuous Improvement Orientation.
Engages effectively and manages stakeholder relationships
Displays High Professional and moral Integrity
Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy and complex problem-solving environment
Ability to work in a complex and changing environment to solve complex problems cross functionally
