Summary: The Finance Analyst will be a key part of the Finance team as a FP&A support across PayPal’s team. This role will include financial planning, forecasting, & analysis to help drive strong business results. Beyond a strong financial background, we are in search of a self-starter, who possesses an inquiring mind, a proactive nature, business acumen, and a fascination for discovering insights. : The role will require that the individual:

• Own finance support for designated partners in the Operating Expense finance portfolio
• Execute on a wide breadth of financial processes on an ongoing and periodic basis including long-range planning, budgeting, month-end close and forecast, resource allocation, KPIs, and performance management
• Develop in-depth understanding of the business to proactively identify key business drivers
• Help facilitate a collaborative engagement with business to cultivate strong partnership, yield actionable insights and unlock incremental value for the enterprise
• Effectively communicate financial results and key drivers through concise and effective story telling
• Streamline, harmonize, and align designated workstreams and processes to drive efficiency and improve response time to evolving requests from the business
• Conduct business case modeling, run deep dive analysis and other ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
• Assist in process improvements using reporting and planning tools
• Monitor expense and headcount plan vs actual and provide analysis/recommendation for business partners and Finance team
• Ad-hoc analysis & projects as needed to support business needs
• Work autonomously but in collaboration with teammates and business partners

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree and 3-5 years relevant professional experience such as Finance, Accounting, or Consulting
• Analytical skills and experience managing complex data sets and identifying relevant trends (including pivot tables, charts, Power BI)
• Demonstrated ability to interpret data and offer insight and recommendations into business opportunities
• Experience utilizing ERP financial system such as Oracle Hyperion, SAP, or Anaplan
• Effective time-management and prioritization skills to manage workload
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to build relationships internally and externally, interfacing at all levels.
• Thrives in an environment of continuous change and complexity
• Results oriented, team player, fun, energetic personality, works well under pressure
• Must be eager to learn, contribute and share knowledge
• High level skills with Microsoft office Excel and power point
• Background in supporting a technology team and understanding of cloud infrastructure preferred
