Purpose
This role will be part of the Business Intelligence COE, which is a global team that leverages technical expertise to enable Lilly to achieve our financial objectives. We support global Planning Forecasting and Reporting (PFR) to all affiliates, hubs, regions, and corporate consolidations.
The Financial Analyst-BI will be required to analyze and identify unusual variances or trends, which can have a significant impact on management decision. The Analyst will be responsible for the creation, validation, and quality control of next generation management reports and tools. The Analyst must be comfortable with ad-hoc reporting requests and dashboard creation to drive key strategic management decisions. The Analyst will be responsible for collecting and implementing feedback on the global reports to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness to eliminate manual processes. He/She will play a key role in supporting financial planning, forecasting, and reporting across Lilly.
Essential Deliverables and Responsibilities

• Assist and support in the design and development of management reports for the business

• Provide planning and reporting solutions aligned to business requirements

• Assist in month end closing activities and financial analysis for the business

• Develop or modifies reports by considering end user requirements, best fit reporting/visualization tool, data model availability

• Provide insights and recommendations to inform timely, accurate, and impactful business decisions, partnering with the CFP and Global Services team

• Review OPEX trends and provide meaningful insights on fixed and variable spend to drive accountability.

• Responsible for providing impactful management reports and use analytics / visualizations to create presentations for the Month-End reporting.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly decks for financial reviews.

• Be involved with ad-hoc analytics requests and transformational projects.

• Partner with the CFP to continuously improve our analytics capability that helps drive data and insights-based decision
