Job Title Finance Analyst

Job Summary As a Finance Analyst you play a pivotal role by supporting your team with timely, accurate and insightful analysis to enable effective decision making by key stakeholders and business partners. You support the coordination and development of operating plans that underpin strategic business unit goals, and apply your sound analytical skills to share insights and recommendations into financial status and performance.

You have lots of initiative with a strong desire to help tackle strategic issues relating to its operational performance and estimated financial trajectory. You enjoy working independently as well as part of a team to stimulate behaviours that drive value and achieve strategic objectives.

As part of Strategy & Finance, your mission will be to help drive our shared strategic vision. Enable the business by providing commercial advice and managing key strategic, operational and financial risks.

The role will provide a full suite of business partnering and FP&A services including but not limited to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, strategic partnering, management reporting, financial analysis, performance commentary and accounting advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support team members and senior management with financial analysis and modelling to develop short and long-term strategies, as well as key performance indicators to achieve business initiatives and financial planning objectives
  • Contribute to the build of a management reporting framework for all our intercompany transactions
  • Partner with other Finance missions to generate brilliant insight into the way our legal entities operate
  • Respectfully challenge the status quo to ensure the best outcome for the Group
  • Support team members with the completion of month-end activities including: P&L and balance sheet management, posting of manual adjustments and preparation of reporting packs, ensuring output is of an excellent standard
  • Responsible for managing the IT related spend, including its monthly accruals and subsequent charge back to domestic books and ensure proper allocation of costs to respective BUs;
  • Work on Capital projects and initiatives for India entities;
  • Continue to build your subject matter expertise through active thought leadership, to understand key drivers and trends impacting financial and operational performance
  • Leverage your analytical skills to undertake high-quality quantitative and qualitative analysis, to assist team members to test ideas/business hypotheses, understand issues and provide insights into key decisions
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset when approaching tasks, by using best practice approaches when contributing to the development of forecasting and planning models
  • Work with a great bunch of people who support each other to get the best outcomes for the team.
About You
We\'re looking for someone who\xe2\x80\xa6has experience in
  • CA or CPA qualification or working towards
  • A minimum 4 years proven experience in Finance management
  • Experience in both management accounting \xe2\x80\x93 to support business partnership and technical accounting - to support accounting compliance
  • Desire to build leadership skills with a genuine commitment to building capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to details
  • Proven demonstration of a growth mindset with tenacity for problem solving and willingness to seek information and appropriately challenge status quo
  • Passion for numbers and improving financial performance
