Field Service Engineer

You will be working as Field Service Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business area for Measurement & Analytics division based in Kolkata, India. In this role you will be reporting to Service Team Leader and you will be primarily responsible for executing service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Delivering quality customer service to satisfy customers. Cooperating with customer and other ABB teams, taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB.

Your responsibilities

• Performing service tasks like installing and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance independently, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories
• Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation. Maintaining good relationship with customers, identifying new sales opportunities and communicating them internally
• Coordinating, preparing, ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment\xe2\x80\x99s are available at the appropriate quality for service activities
• Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative. Reporting work done in a timely manner and following up when needed
• Troubleshooting simple equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
• Providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service

Your background

• BE or B Tech in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in analytical products, gas chromatograph and continuous gas analyzers
• Experience in managing service calls, annual maintenance contract, erection and commissioning calls
• Experience in industries like Power, Cement and Steel
