Job Description

• Developing better planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques, improving crop yield, and solving problems for the operation/execution team.

• Researching and promoting agricultural strategies to counter the effects of changes in soil, climate, weather, and pest damage.

• Visiting fields to evaluate process adherence, POP monitoring, collect seed, plant, and soil samples for mitigating any risk at any point of time during farming cycles.

• Testing farms/plots/crops for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other changes from time to time and reporting to the central team with remedies.

• Assisting the input sourcing team for inputs requirements, doses, testing, and selection.

• Entering into Farm ERP and Keeping detailed records regarding fields, customers/OP partners, crops, and yield evaluation matrix.

• Generating reports and presenting Seniors & Top management, OP or other interested parties.

• Conducting training on POP and techniques through educational presentations and documents.

• Liaising with Agriculture Universities/KVKs and other research organizations for farming advancement with respect to crops and its economics.

• Tracking and monitoring climatic factors affecting farm cycles/crops to different farms regularly and keeping records.

• Developing planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines.

Requirements

• Masters / Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in agriculture/horticulture/plant protection/soil science/horticulture and other allied branches.

• Managing Farms and Farm Team is a must for this role.

• Further education Agri-Business Management and farm working experience will be preferred.

• Deep understanding of farming of Plantation crops/horticulture/as well as aromatic and medicinal crops.

• Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and own Bike/car and willingness to travel.

• Ability to work outside, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop for extended periods.

• Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office, is a must and layout software will be an added advantage.

• Exceptional active listening and verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong farm analytics, decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Awareness of industry trends, technology, and developments.
