Purpose of the Role : A Field officer in More Retail Limited will be responsible for increasing the share of farm sourcing and ensure availability of fresh and high quality vegetables and locally grown fruits for daily business needs. With a good understanding of farmer communities, farming & sourcing practices for vegetables this role will execute all the farmer acquisition and engagement programs in the catchment of the collection center and take responsibility for continuous and adequate flow of the right quality and quantity of produce. This role will also be responsible for continuous feedback and knowledge building of farmers to ensure best quality produce

Principal Responsibilities: As a Field Officer, the principal responsibilities entail the following:

\xe2\x97\x8f Identify new sources by constantly being on the lookout for new areas and farmers growing relevant F&V.

\xe2\x97\x8f Educate the farmers on the JBP App and facilitate enrollment through the Farmer Business Partner.

\xe2\x97\x8f Manage and monitor farm sourcing share, CP index, freshness index and quality score.

\xe2\x97\x8f Visit the farmers in the assigned areas as per plan and build strong connect to achieve the 100% farm sourcing objective.

\xe2\x97\x8f Check the quality of the F&V at source and assure adherence to quality norms to ensure our customers get the best of produce

\xe2\x97\x8f Negotiate the price as per the benchmarks prevalent and seek approval from the Sourcing Incharge.

\xe2\x97\x8f Buy F&V from the farmers and provide them the details of shipping.

Education and Experience

\xe2\x97\x8f Bachelors in Agriculture/Horticulture.

\xe2\x97\x8f 0-2 years of experience in field sourcing or project work during education is a bonus.

\xe2\x97\x8f Currently connected with the farming community through initiatives.

\xe2\x97\x8f Updated on sourcing practices & processes, cost price benchmarks.

\xe2\x97\x8f Knowledge about locations to source from and local language.
