You'll have the following responsibilities


  • Service Provisioning
  • Site survey to verify the Rackspace, power availability, Asset verification onsite.
  • Wireless sitesurvey with help of Ekahau wi-fi sitesurvey tools.
  • Tracking the delivery of CPE with logistics / vendor and facilitating delivery at customer premises with proper documentation.
  • Coordination with Order Managers, Installation coordinators for appropriate PE port allocation/ configuration and base config for CPE.
  • Coordination with customer and Installation coordinators, installation of CPE at site and extend onsite support during Test and Turn up. Also establish rapport with all key technical personnel of customer.
  • UAT and Obtaining service commissioning report from end customers.
  • Extend support during Upgradation of bandwidth, CPE etc.
  • Break fix support for the CPEs which are deployed for enabling our Managed Services (MPLS) Implement involving configuration and provide onsite field support for DATA/VOICE/WLAN/SECURITY customer networks.
  • DE install the CPEs and coordination for asset recovery.
  • Breakfix Support
  • Break fix support for the CPEs which are deployed for enabling our Managed Services (MPLS) Implement involving configuration and provide onsite field support for DATA/VOICE/WLAN/SECURITY customer networks.
  • Coordination with OEM for troubleshooting and help to raise RMAs for replacing the hardware.
  • Project Implementation to Support
  • Preparation of configurations, documents work onsite for implementation and arrange signoff from customer. During project implementation support the equipment POST, implementation and post implementation tasks onsite.
  • Maintain management systems, fault diagnosis and debugging tools. Provide network test facilities to support effective fault resolution and network improvements.
  • Infrastructure Support
  • on-site support: Installation of Cross connect switches, PE routers, L2 & L3 switches available in the GPOP.
  • Should have knowledge of TELCO equipment which are collocated in GPOPs like Telco MUX, Switches, MDF/DDFs, tag blocks etc .
  • Should have knowledge on wiring & cabling ( Optic & Data cabling ) to interconnect cables to equipment.
  • Manage vendors who visit node site as per the maintenance guidelines during equipment installation and commissioning.



  • Assist in Support portfolio simplification whenever possible upto his job remit.
  • Typical problems are unknown, complex, cross LOB.
  • Follow guidelines from BT to Transform the way of supporting and working
  • Support early investigations/research/feasibility/analysis to assess viability (technical / operational) of technology opportunities.



  • Supporting CI & Standard work;
  • Influence & take training and academies to ensure we have appropriately skilled people for current and emerging/future technologies.



  • Will matrix manage work with technical teams, often multi-skilled and including external vendor/supplier teams;
  • Will manage key vendor relationships as required for BAU operations from support perspective;
  • Will manage communication with multiple stakeholders e.g. senior leaders, finance, vendors, regards to BAU service operations perspective.

  • Working in a blended environment with partners, vendors & captive resources.
Required Educational Qualifications
  • B.E./B. Tech. in-
  • Electronics & Telecommunications
  • Electronics
  • IT
  • Computer Science
  • CCNA/CCNP/CCDP/Cisco Wireless certification preferred,Zeescaler,Fortinet exposure preferred.
