Field Application Engineer (Solutions)

Your tasks

• Assisting in product development process from concept phase to prototyping phase.
  
• Involvement in brainstorming meetings on concept development of new products, helping in designing cost effective and quality products.
  
• Assisting in preparing product specifications and technical drawings
  
• Coordinate with vendors for product developments form artwork to product specification, sculpting and sample approval. Negotiate pricing with overseas vendors.
  
• Ensure samples are prepared as per customer specification.
  
• Responsible for improving existing processes, cost reduction, identifying bottlenecks & implementing measures as required.
  
• Technical support and consulting of sales organizations / distributors / project management / purchasing.
• Responsible for managing operations for complete design life cycle including DFMEA and Techno-commercial activities.
• To work closely with the sales team and support them with H+S solutions.
• Coordinate and manage application and development projects towards HUBER+SUHNER customers, including documentation.
• Coordinate with global application engineering team when required.

Your profile

Education and Experience :
Bachelor\'s degree in Telecommunications, EE, ECE, or ME, along with 1-5 years of experience
Skills/Knowledge:
Great Communication Skills: Written and Oral
Strong understanding of fiber optics and FTTH network architecture
Knowledge of Various SFP transceiver types, OEM Compatibility & its application
Knowledge of industry standards
Personal Qualifications:
Responsible, reliable, accurate, analytical and independent way of working
Entrepreneur mentality
Should be able to work in international, intercultural and cross functional teams.
Physical/Mental Abilities:
Should have strong physical and mental abilities.
