Job Description

Guest service:

Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.

Menu knowledge:

Maintain detailed knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest questions and offer recommendations.

Table and station maintenance:

Set tables according to service standards, clear and clean tables, and keep workstations and service areas clean and organized.

Order and billing:

Accurately record orders and process payments through the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash and credit card transactions.

Hygiene and safety:

Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP, and report any accidents or unsafe conditions.

Problem resolution:

Address and resolve guest inquiries and complaints professionally.

Communication:

Relay information to the kitchen and other staff, including special requests, allergies, and re-cook orders.
Required qualifications and skills

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is often required.

Skills:

Strong communication, teamwork, and a customer-focused attitude are essential.

Experience:

Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is beneficial.

Certifications:

Certification in food safety and handling can be advantageous.

Physical ability:

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift/move objects up to 50 pounds with assistance.
