The Food & Beverage Associate is responsible for delivering courteous, efficient, and high-quality food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience while maintaining hotel service standards and hygiene practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesService & Guest Handling
Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
Present menus, explain dishes and beverages, and take accurate orders.
Serve food and beverages promptly as per service standards.
Ensure guest satisfaction and handle basic complaints professionally.
Restaurant Operations
Set up tables, side stations, and service areas before operations.
Clear tables and reset them efficiently during service.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of service areas at all times.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for service.
Food Safety & Hygiene
Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (FSSAI norms).
Follow personal grooming and uniform standards.
Ensure proper handling and storage of food and beverages.
Billing & Controls
Prepare bills accurately and process payments when required.
Follow cash handling procedures and obtain proper authorization.
Avoid wastage and report breakages or shortages.
Coordination & Teamwork
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
Assist colleagues during peak hours.
Communicate guest feedback to supervisors.
Safety & Compliance
Follow safety guidelines and emergency procedures.
Support fire safety and emergency drills.
Comply with hotel policies and statutory requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum 10th / Plus Two / Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
Food safety certification is an added advantage.
Experience
1-3 years of experience in hotel / resort / restaurant service.
Freshers with good attitude may also be considered.
Skills & Competencies
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Pleasant personality and customer-oriented attitude.
Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Team player with attention to detail.
Other Requirements
Physically fit to perform service duties.
Willingness to learn and adapt to service standards.
