Job Description


Roles and Responsibilities As the Factory Head for Seasoning, this position is responsible for overseeing the entire seasoning setting up of production operations and managing the seasoning team to ensure efficient and high-quality production of seasoning products in compliance with food safety and quality standards. This position is responsible for establishing the seasoning factory by building a team of professionals which will lead to high production, quality, and order fulfilment while ensuring the safest working environment possible. 1. Strategies, Design and developing business plan, with detailed timelines, actions & budgets for the setting up of Seasoning factory. 2. Set up the production facility of seasoning factory and its processing along with all necessary systems and integrate it with the SCC. Build the team for maintaining high production, quality, and output while ensuring the safest working environment possible. Ensure every position is filled, overseeing all Team member by communicating company benefits and compensation policies to each Team Members, providing encouragement to Team Members in order to build the best team possible. 3. Production Operations: Overseeing the entire seasoning production operations, including managing the production schedule, ensuring timely and efficient production of seasoning products, and optimizing production processes to maximize productivity and minimize waste. Coordinating with other departments, such as procurement, warehousing, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure smooth production operations. Monitoring production performance, analyzing production data, and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness. 4. Quality and Food Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, including HACCP, FSSAI regulations, and company policies and procedures. Implementing and maintaining food safety and quality control programs, SOPs, and sanitation practices, in the seasoning production process. Conducting regular quality checks and inspections of seasoning products to ensure adherence to quality specifications. Investigating and addressing quality issues or product defects and implementing corrective actions as needed. 5. Team Management and Leadership: Leading and managing a team of seasoning production staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Providing coaching, mentorship, and feedback to team members to ensure their professional development and performance improvement. Creating a positive and collaborative work environment that fosters teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement. Setting team goals, objectives, and expectations, and monitoring progress towards achieving them. Ensuring effective communication and coordination among team members and other departments. 6. Inventory and Raw Material Management: Managing seasoning ingredient and raw material inventory, including procurement, receiving, storage, and usage. Monitoring ingredient and raw material availability and coordinating with procurement and warehousing teams to ensure timely replenishment. Implementing inventory control measures, such as FIFO and shelf-life management, to minimize product waste and stockouts. Maintaining accurate records of ingredient and raw material usage, inventory levels, and related documentation. 7. Equipment and Maintenance Management: Ensuring proper functioning and maintenance of seasoning production equipment and machinery. Coordinating with the maintenance team for routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment. Monitoring equipment performance and implementing preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations. Coordinating with procurement for equipment purchases and upgrades as needed. 8. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures in the seasoning production process. Identifying and addressing potential safety hazards or concerns in the production area. Implementing safety measures, such as proper equipment operation, machine guarding, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage. Conducting safety trainings for production staff and monitoring compliance with safety protocols. 9. Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in the seasoning production operations. Analysing production data, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Collaborating with the research and development team to develop new seasoning products, improve existing ones, or implement innovative production technologies or techniques. Desired Candidate Profile Qualification Bachelor in Food technology or equivalent (Tier - 1 College) Experience 15 plus years experience specialised in field of food manufacturing industry with relevant exposure to seasoning blending, Packaging production. Should have experience of at least 3 years in seasoning production and packaging in the preceding 5 years
