Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined Line of Business-aligned (LOB-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.

GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions. The current opening is within the Finance Control Management team in Bangalore which forms part of Corporate LOB within GF&BM India. About the Team

External Reporting Governance & Controls team resides within Finance Control Management and covers regulatory reporting initiatives such as Accountability & Attestations, Issues & Errors Management, Manual Adjustments monitoring and tracking.

About the Role

The Accountability & Attestations team is responsible for:

  • Implementing a cohesive end-to-end US regulatory reporting accountability and attestation framework that aligns accountability to the appropriate functions and facilitates enhanced controls to reduce the risk of external reporting errors
  • Administering external financial reporting cycles via the Automated Strategic Attestation Platform (ASAP) tool, including creating new cycles and administering the various stages of each attestation cycle
  • Implementing enhancements to the ASAP tool to meet the changing needs of reporting processes
  • Providing firmwide attestation reporting capabilities and management reporting, providing transparency to stakeholders
  • Partnering with other Governance & Controls workstreams to provide a cohesive, efficient support model to LOBs and Corporate reporting teams
  • Providing training and guidance to support consistent application of the standards and corresponding processes
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Providing support for the planning, preparation, and administration of attestation cycles in ASAP on a monthly and quarterly basis. Includes establishing new cycles, kicking off each stage with requisite communications, processing changes, and closing cycles
  • Providing daily support of attestation cycles through primary ownership of central mailbox, applying judgment and discretion when responding to queries, and escalating requests to management team
  • Providing data analytics and metrics related to attestations, as needed
  • Directly addressing stakeholder queries where more seniority is required
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of attestation cycles for potential risks impacting the on-time filing of external reports
  • Partnering with technology and Business Intelligence teams to enhance the ASAP tool and metrics/reporting platform
  • Preparing presentation materials for key meetings, as needed
  • Assisting with updates to standards, policies and procedures as needed
The role provides opportunities to partner extensively with LOBs, Corporate Finance, Risk, Control Management, and Internal Audit. It will also provide exposure to senior management. Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Overall 6+ years of experience
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of, or direct experience in, external reporting related processes and analyses
  • Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets, multi-task, and prioritize
  • Strong communication skills - clear, concise, and appropriate method of delivery
  • Strong collaboration and partnership skills
  • Operational discipline and strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to change priorities as new situations present themselves
  • Ability to identify and implement process enhancement opportunities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with the Global Finance Organization a plus
