The Wholesale Risk Chief Data Office (WR CDO) team plays a critical role in governing Data Risks across the Wholesale Risk organization, providing insight into the Firmwide Data Governance agenda, promoting data risk governance in business activities/ culture and maintaining the appropriate degree of engagement and accountability across stakeholders.

As a member of the WR CDO Data Governance & Controls Team you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with other members of the WR CDO, Risk Management & Compliance CDO\'s, and Firmwide Data Management organizations to ensure that Wholesale Risk is engaged and in alignment with strategic initiatives that support compliance with the Firmwide Data Risk Management Policy and Standards
Responsibilities
  • Perform project management and analysis for key data issues / initiatives and actively participate and contribute to governance and oversight processes aligned to Data Risk Management initiatives
  • Assist Wholesale Risk CDO Relationship Managers in maintaining the Data Owner Framework and reporting of Data Risk Metrics and Data Store inventories
  • Maintain strong working relationships with business and technology partners
  • Provide status updates to stakeholders and escalate risks/issues to leadership and Data Risk Management forums as needed
  • Develop and maintain process and control documentation (e.g., standard operating procedures, process flows, data flows)
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines required; Finance related bachelor\'s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience (previous experience in Data Governance, Financial Services, Risk Management, or other control function a plus)
  • Effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective, credible relationships with colleagues as well as business and technology partners
  • Self-starter with an attention to detail; ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and deliver results
  • Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel (pivots, formulas, etc.).
  • Experience with automation solutions such as Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik a plus
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Risk Management experience is preferred
