Auto Technology is looking for a highly driven thought leader, proficient software engineer, problem solver and team player who can make a significant impact in driving modernization and enabling key capabilities for the Auto business. As a Principal Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you provide expertise and engineering excellence as an integral part of the technology team to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Leverage your advanced technical expertise and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes across various technologies to support one or more of the firm\'s portfolios. Responsibilities:

  • Provide innovative solutions in collaboration with product, platform, architecture and other technology and data engineering teams
  • Deliver technical solutions on public and private cloud and create blueprints for common design needs across the organization
  • Full development life cycle of analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Participate in design and code reviews, define best practices and standards for design, coding and quality, scalability, performance optimization and reliability
  • Develop frameworks, deliver proof-of-concept (PoC\'s) and reference implementations
  • Demonstrate software engineering leadership through thoughtful design
  • Promote a culture of delivering high quality and reliable code by testing early and leveraging deployment best practices such as blue/green deployments, canary releases, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
  • Very good experience with architecting and designing resilient and scalable software solutions for multi-cloud platforms (private/public)
  • 8-12 years of hands-on software development using Java, Java EE, Web Services/SOA and Java frameworks - Spring, Spring-boot, Hibernate, REST
  • Experience developing RESTful micro services and messaging solutions such as Kafka and MQ
  • Experience with building solutions for deployment in AWS is a must. AWS Developer or Architect certification is required.
  • Working with GIT/Bitbucket, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins tools to build and deploy code deployment to production environments
  • Experience with logging/monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, DataDog and CloudWatch
  • Experience in developing software solutions leveraging Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience with Source Code management techniques/tools.
  • Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience with working in an agile development environment
  • Financial industry experience is a plus
