We are looking for an experienced Cloud Ops Engineer with cloud services experience to join our Cloud operations team . You\'ll be part of a team of experts who build operate and maintain large fleet of Exadata racks. You will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Exadata Infrastructure in the cloud. Responsibilities include managing Exadata system infrastructure and processes related to these systems including day-to-day operation, monitoring, troubleshooting and problem-resolution.

The team is responsible for managing the Oracle\'s Exadata Cloud Service Fleet consisting of thousands of Exadata racks. You\'ll be part of a team of experts who build operate and maintain large fleet of Exadata racks. You will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Exadata Infrastructure in the cloud. Responsibilities include managing Exadata system infrastructure and processes related to these systems including day-to-day operation, monitoring, troubleshooting and problem-resolution.
Core Activities And Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and build workflow tools to facilitate automation
• Work collaboratively with other teams to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
• Diagnose and troubleshoot systems/hardware and provide timely resolution
• Be part of the operations team and follow standard operating procedures to resolve issues
• Identify opportunities and propose solutions towards a stable and scalable ecosystem
• Participate in and drive continuous improvement efforts Support on call activities

Minimum Educational Qualifications B.E/M.E in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.


Language Proficiency Must-have: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Technical Skills

• Strong background working in a linux based environment, including experience with installations, imaging, patching etc.
• Knowledge of network fundamentals such as VCN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routing, DHCP etc.
• Experience automating management of Linux based infrastructure
• Experience developing applications, and automating tasks using Python, Perl, bash
• Experience developing and/or consuming Restful API\xe2\x80\x99s
• Experience deploying/managing applications in a cloud environment
• Understanding of virtualization technologies: VMware, Xen, KVM, etc
• Cloud services management, monitoring, troubleshooting and debugging experience
• Experience with or interest in build automation, continuous integration, or continuous deployment tools (DevOps)
• Experience using code versioning systems: Git, SVN, Mercurial Database management experience: MySQL, Postgres

Soft Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a global virtual team environment
• Ability to prioritize effectively, with some project management knowledge/experience
• Demonstrable organizational skills with focus on timely delivery
• Demonstrable eagerness to learn Demonstrable focus on quality, working to standards and following best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Exadata, Real Application Clusters, Oracle database
• Experience with modern tools such as Docker, Github, Jira, Teamcity, and Bitbucket
• Knowledge/experience with automation technologies such as Terraform, Chef, and Ansible
• Experience or interested in working in an agile environment
• Good understanding of x86 hardware platform and related management tools: ILOM, IPMI
