Job Description

Excellent in writing SQL scripts to validate data in ODS and Mart. Able to develop and execute test plans test cases and test scripts. Strong in validation of visual analytics reports using tools like Power BI MicroStrategy and others while running different types of tests within the same. Identifies manages and resolves defects during testing cycles leveraging a test management tool like JIRA or HP ALM and also supports or leads the UAT process when appropriate. Aware of quality and testing related best practices and procedures and adheres to them. Good knowledge in any RDBMS like AWS Redshift Postgres Oracle or SQL Server. Nice to have Python. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Knowledge of automation and automation frameworks within the ETL space. Primary skills must include understanding of data model and ETL architecture. Excellent in data warehouse concepts. Collaborates with business analysts and stakeholders to understand the data requirements. Reviews functional specifications and ensures they align with the ETL process. Creates detailed test plans for ETL testing including the scope test cases and test data. Defines the test environment required tools and resources for ETL testing. Designs and writes test cases based on functional specifications and ETL mappings. Ensures coverage of all scenarios including positive and negative test cases edge cases and data validation.
