Key to manage significant risks, securing company reputation and fostering a culture of integrity within Organizational Values & Behaviors framework The ERC Manager will be responsible to identify, assess, and support effective management of risks presented by strategies and programs for the assigned franchise, functions and/or products to ensure execution of strategies and programs is in compliance with applicable Novartis policies, procedures and requirements. The ERC Manager will clearly identify, assess and articulate risks as part of early concept discussions and recommend effective risk management when they are implemented. The ideal candidate is passionate about both enabling compliant strategies and programs and ensuring ERC guidance to the assigned teams is clear and actionable. The ERC Manager will engage with business leaders and their teams to perform the key accountabilities below. The ERC Manager will also be responsible for the assigned areas of focus and will engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure a holistic view of risks across the strategies leveraged for the assigned areas. The areas of focus may evolve periodically with the needs of the India IMI organization. Your key responsibilities: Your responsibilities include, but not limited to Collaborate and partner closely with franchise/function leaders and team members, as well as other functions, to identify, mitigate and manage risks in a manner that drives the business forward to best serve patients. Support India IMI in the implementation of global Novartis compliance policies and guidelines and provide guidance on local SOPs and processes development. Effectively engage with the associates in the assigned franchise/functions to ensure they have a holistic view of ERC risks presented in their strategies/ programs (key watch areas, what\'s going well, etc.). Proactively monitor evolving India healthcare environment, enforcement trends and compliance programs of other pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies related to assigned functions to identify and share insights within ERC. Collaborate with other risk functions and stakeholders to share anticipated innovative or complex business strategies/programs, related risks and ERC guidance and develop aligned approach to Investigations, Monitoring and other ERC activities needed to address risks presented by such strategies/programs. Develop trusted relationships with associates in the assigned franchise/functions to promote a speak up environment and to strengthen a positive culture towards compliance and ethical decision making as an integral part of how we reimagine medicine for patients. Execute certain reviews of associate conduct as part of SpeakUp processes in collaboration with Novartis investigations teams. Conduct local communication, training, and monitoring activities to support risk awareness, detection and prevention goals. Minimum Requirements What you\'ll bring to the role: Track record of exceptional performance and execution that drives results. Demonstrated ability to distill and translate extensive, complex information, data & analytics to identify and assess risks Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and \'explain the why\' to a range of audiences and stakeholders. Curious, with excellent listening skills; able to challenge current thinking. Ability to manage multiple priorities and a heavy workload. At least 5-7 years of relevant exposure to compliance function or related components preferred with at least 2 years\' experience as business advisor in a multinational pharmaceutical, device or healthcare company Experience in a highly regulated industry with its dynamics, regulatory framework. Proven ability to lead complex projects and collaborate within and across cross-functional teams and business units, in a matrixed environment.
