Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Proficiency with substation physical detailed design for utility substations 115kV and above (General Arrangement Elevations and Sections Equipment Specifications Grounding Lightning Protection etc.) Knows how to use CDEGS (Grounding studies per IEEE80) Knows how to use CYME for underground cable ampacity cals Knows how to do lightning protection per IEEE Knows how to do insulation coordination per IEEE Knows how to do rigid bus calculations per IEEE Candidate Specification Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited university. Relevant detailed design experience Good written and verbal communication skills Good Work Ethic Ability to take direction and multi-task required. Recommended but not required Strong with Primtech or other 3D aided Substation integrated/automated design tools desired, but not required.
