Role Objective
"Power electronics engineer responsible for powertrain power electronics design & development of Motor Controller, On Board Charger, DCDC converter for NPI and innovation projects for electric vehicle. Responsible circuit design, simulation, power topologies calculation & analysis, electronic components selection & sizing for power elctronics agreegates along with creating co-simualtion framework will also be key deliverables.

Minimum education qualification ME/ M.Tech - Electrical/Electric Drives/Power Electronics/E&E
Minimum experience requirement 4-5 Years
Working knowledge requirement "1. Board level circuit design (Analog, Digital, Power electronics)
2. Designing, selection, specification, and validation of critical power components (e.g. MOSFET, IGBTs, Diodes, capacitors, inductors, Contactors, drivers).
3. 8/16/32 bit microcontroller based product design
4. Power supply design experience using Switching and Linear Regulators
5. Design and Debug experience working on interfaces such as CAN, LIN and JTAG
6. Design , Development & testing of Motor Controller, OBC, DCDC converter
7. Circuit design, Circuit simulation, calculations & analysis for circuit, thermal analysis of components, PCB assembly, testing of controller at vehicle level.
8. Sensor interfacing schematic design for motor controller for protections like over voltage, over current, thermal protections etc
9. Isolated power supply design for motor controller for isolation between high voltage & low voltage.
10. Must have Circuit Schematic design experience using OrCAD, Altium, etc
11. Create layout guidelines for the PCB design and work with PCB design engineers
12. Ability to define mechanical and thermal requirements of the hardware
13. Ability to create production level Bill of Materials meeting design requirements
14. Must have hands-on with test & measurement equipment's like Oscilloscopes, DMM, Power Analyzers, Power supplies, Frequency generator
15. Must have hands-on with Hardware Soldering rework for hardware debugging
16. Working with a multi-disciplinary engineering development team that includes application engineering, controls engineering, mechanical design, control hardware design, and test / validation.

Work Experience

1. Work with HV Architect team to understand product specifications for EV power electronics aggregates
2. Define Software Architecture and control algorithm development for power electronics aggregates like traction motor controller, On Board charger and DC-DC Converter.
3. Physics based plant model development for EV Power Electronics Aggregates
4.Functional Test Plan and Testing procedure preparation and Testing for HV Power electronics aggregates, like OBC and DC-DC Converter for CV EV NPI projects
5. Optimisation of Power Electronics aggregates topology for highest efficiency.
