Job Description

Key Responsibilities

:

Preventive Maintenance

: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of hotel systems, including electrical, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, and mechanical systems. Check and maintain building systems, including fire alarms, elevators, and water heaters.

Guest Room & Public Area Repairs

: Address and resolve maintenance issues reported by guests or staff in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Perform general repairs, such as fixing doors, windows, furniture, and fixtures.

Troubleshooting & Emergency Repairs

: Respond to emergency calls for technical or mechanical problems in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure that repairs are done according to safety standards and in a way that minimizes disruption to hotel guests.

System Upgrades & Improvements

: Assist in the installation and upgrading of equipment and systems within the hotel. Work with management to identify areas for improvement and efficiency in energy usage.

Record Keeping

: Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks performed, including completed work orders and inventory used. Maintain a log of preventative maintenance schedules and tasks performed.

Safety Compliance

: Ensure compliance with all local health, safety, and environmental regulations. Regularly test fire, safety, and emergency equipment to ensure that it is functional.

Coordination with Other Departments

: Work closely with other hotel departments, such as Housekeeping, Front Desk, and Food & Beverage, to address any maintenance concerns or requests. Communicate with hotel management about the status of equipment, any urgent repairs, and upcoming maintenance schedules.

Guest Interaction

: Provide courteous service to guests if they have specific maintenance requests, ensuring that their experience is not disrupted.
