Job ID:[[id]] Engineering TA & In Service Ship Team Manager Lloyd\'s Register Location: - Mumbai, India What We\'re Looking For We are seeking individuals who can efficiently oversee the plan approval process for \'type approval & in-service ship retrofitting\' within the team, aligning with specific business goals. Additionally, the candidate will support the senior manager in developing the function to address future business requirements, ultimately enhancing Lloyd\'s Register\'s competitive standing. What We Offer You Competitive Salary The opportunity to work for an organization that has a strong sense of purpose, is values driven and helps colleagues to develop professionally and personally through our range of people development programmes The role Coordinate and manage tasks within the global engineering team for plan approval of TA & in-service ship retrofitting, ensuring they meet clients\' specific requirements, especially for existing ship cases. Develop, update, and interpret TA process & TA system test specifications within the engineering discipline. Conduct plan approval for TA & in-service ship retrofitting, such as EGCS, BWTS installation, and updates to other piping systems, based on project needs Collaborate with the senior manager to implement changes and improvements in the global engineering team, aligning with future business and commercial demands to enhance Lloyd\'s Register\'s competitive position. Support the senior manager in fostering employee competencies through learning and development planning. Stay vigilant for revisions to Statutory, Rule, and Flag requirements, and apply these changes to in-service ship retrofitting as necessary. Mentor and coach team members, facilitating effective knowledge transfer and application of codes and practices. Participate in specialized recruitment efforts for the designated team, engaging in technical interviews when required. Engage in discussions and presentations with internal and external clients, providing solutions when appropriate. Fulfill administrative tasks as needed, adhering to current processes and procedures. What You Bring Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Naval Architecture, Ship Design/Shipbuilding, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification. Membership in a relevant professional institution is desirable. Relevant experience in intact and damage stability calculations, gained from working in shipyards, classification societies, ship owners, consulting firms, or similar roles. Familiarity with SOLAS, MARPOL, and IMO Statutory Regulations is essential. Candidates with less experience may be considered for lower-level positions. Proficiency in NAPA software, matching the requirements of the role. Strong knowledge and experience in Naval Architecture, with a specific emphasis on stability, tonnage, and loadline. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent prioritization skills to meet deadlines set by Lloyd\'s Register and clients, even under pressure. Effective communication skills, including the ability to conduct technical discussions with clients and maintain strong client relationships. Excellent proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, corresponding to the demands of the position, and a demonstration of effective interpersonal skills.
