What you will do Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for working with global products organizations to develop, lead and implement the technology and innovation strategy and roadmap Drive design and development of technology solutions across products, which may include systems strategy, development of new integration frameworks and services. Drive thought-leadership on engineering and architectural practices and standards Ensure architectural integrity is maintained across products by adhering to best practices. Work closely with cross-matrix and cross-functional teams. Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and related products. Foster innovation to drive new product ideas or strategic product extensions into a commercial product. Provide leadership direction, to build effective team that is highly motivated and have world class competencies, capabilities required to create best in class, leading edge product offerings. Lead the complete product development life cycle in an agile environment from developing use cases to product delivery. Seek ways to identify new and different ways to maximize productivity and quality through development methods and practices. Work very closely with the global R&D, product development leads, and product management businesses verticals Uses deep domain expertise and business experience to influence and persuade a wide range of audiences on issues important to the business unit. Influences key leaders to adopt new functional and technical knowledge to achieve business unit/function goals values and rewards strong functional and technical skills Champions the use of the most up-to-date technology trends and competitive landscape expertise to drive opportunities and competitive advantage for our clients Principal Competencies Is knowledgeable of typical new product development practices, knows what \'great\' looks like in the context of a high performing R&D functional organization, and has the ability to quickly assess, lead, monitor and deliver high quality work product. Has significant experience in leading device and software systems integration through new platforms and frameworks. This includes having responsibility for hiring exceptional engineering professionals. Understands the factors influencing project cycle time and has the proven ability to implement practices that result in reductions in over-all project time to completion. Designs, implements, measures and executes processes to assure design quality expectations are met in product design. Develops methods or approaches for analysing complex processes, situations or issues and discerning patterns within the business context. Applies understanding of the operational and financial factors that drive organizational success and the interdependencies between business functions to recommend solutions that work across business units/functions resulting in improved efficiency. Consolidates customer business requirements and new trends into Technology processes and aligns them with overall strategy translates strategic development requirements into actionable plans. Good communication skill to articulate views/thoughts with team and partners or customers without any gap Experience in development of project plans, budgets and resource requirements. Leverages broad, deep business and technical expertise to lead the business area and organization in achievement of results anticipates industry trends and identifies potential issues to redirect strategies to ensure success. Acts as a source of technical expertise serves as a role model for others in displaying functional capability and continually acquiring new skills. Experience working with programming languages such as: C#, Java, Javascript, Python, Go Experience working with cloud technologies How you will do it This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Engineering Manager to techno functionally lead highly profitable and revenue generating products in access control, video and intrusion products. The position requires leading a team of 40+ consisting of highly motivated, technical individuals and subject matter experts and helps oversee design, architecture and quality assurance functions. You will work on a diverse mix of technology stack primarily on .NET, WPF, WCF, REST, device integration frameworks and orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes as well as installer technologies. You will actively engage with the talent in the team and ensure that you empower them to do their jobs successfully. You must be seasoned at handling next level managers and setting the right culture and driving the right behaviors. You will ensure that you Interact with and maintain solid relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Focus on Continuous improvement of SDLC both in Agile and Waterfall models What we look for Required Competencies & Skills: Interpersonal SavvyIntegrity and Trust Action OrientedFunctional and Technical Skills Organizing Customer Focus Desired Qualification Bachelor or Master\'s degree in technical field with 15+ years of experience leading and growing engineering team with at least 5 years in a team leadership role. 7+ years\' experience in managing multi-cultural, multi-disciplined engineering team. Experience in any Building automation systems or access control or intrusion products industry is desirable.
